It's Soap Challenge time again! November's soap challenge is to make what is dubbed the "The Tall and Skinny Shimmy." The goal of creating alternating drops of color that seem to move in a shimmy-like pattern down the middle of the soap creating S curves. Well, that should be easy!?!
Seven colors poured at a thin, thin, thin trace. And yet just two hands.
Sounds like a great reason to get together with someone who would like to see/do soap making.
Here's all you need to know...
Must wear Fall Attire
Must be Willing to take photographs and be photographed (that would normally exclude me, but hopefully you're not quite so camera shy)
Must have time
I am looking at doing this on the weekend of November 1st, so you have to be available to come out to the 444Farm either on Saturday or Sunday! We can work out the exact time that will work for both of us. I might be willing to travel to your place depending on your proximity to the Grand Canyon or some other national park. (Please, please someone from Alaska be reading this. I will stuff the ballot box for you. Sorry...that's probably not legal...)
Be Brave but not scared
We will be handling lye - in a safe manner, of course.
Always be Suitably Complementary
You may be coerced to ooh and awww over the farm animals. They enjoy hearing nice things about them such as - "what big ears you have" or "what a beautiful song you sing" when ushered out to see the new miniature donkey.
This is what I'm talking about -
You won't be put in the position of lying and saying "what a wonderful odor" a goat buck in rut gives. Be prepared to quickly move your nose to the armpit. Don't say I didn't warn you.
