While it may have started as an innocuous "the air conditioner broke", I am no longer feeling so generous.
Fortunately, it is during our cooler snap so no worries, right? We'll just sleep with the windows open until it is fixed. And for the most part the house has been comfortable...
But I have allergies... Again no worries as I count out my pills and how many days until the part arrives. I go to beg my local pharmacy for more drugs - which you know will never work, but I want them to know how much they mean to me. They graciously run me thru the drug database and I came up clean so I did a little jig and left with my new box of allergy meds.
and I didn't mind sleeping with the windows open...at first...
Then I mowed the lawn
walked some fence lines
did a little gardening
until finally I heard an evil belly laugh right before I collapsed in the chair.
I decided the allergies weren't going to win and in the afternoon I went out with dear husband to work on the corrals. Just me and a not-so-friendly bee whose territory I crossed. Honestly, as rotten I was feeling the bee sting just about pushed me over the edge - but that really wasn't going to accomplish anything so I waded thru the wormwood sage and got to work.
and then that was it...the allergies won in a total knock out for the next 24 hours. We now alternate cooling off the house with lowering the pollen counts. That's a nice way of saying, I close the windows and DH (dear husband) opens the windows :) (But he always graciously asks first.)
The air conditioner parts/installer...there's a story there but we won't even go there. I maybe should buy the installer a pair of suspenders after DH got a hold of him, but I'm really not feeling that charitable yet.
Today was my soap shop work day. I told DH that I can't even think about making soap. Instead I spent the day in the house (windows shut) and worked on neglected websites. So hey, go visit the shop and see what's new. This was kind of fun today. I might have to start blogging regularly again!
p.s. The goats disagree with my characterization of wormwood...they put in the same category as ice cream. (if they ate ice cream)
